HOLZ automation GmbH (hereinafter “HOLZ”) is pleased about your interest in working for our company. We take the protection of your personal data seriously, and we want you to feel well looked after, especially when submitting your application by video. Protecting your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us, which we take into account in our business processes.
Providing personal data via the “UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO HERE” function is neither contractually nor legally required, but it is essential for conducting the application process via the “UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO HERE” function. You are not obliged to provide personal data in this context. If you do not do so, however, the application process cannot be initiated via the “UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO HERE” function. Alternatively, you can always submit an application in the traditional way by post or via the “Our direct applicant upload” function. <\/p>\n

We process personal data collected during visits to our websites in accordance with the data protection regulations of the country where the data controller is located (Federal Republic of Germany).   • The content of the submitted video (e.g., information on the applicant’s CV and motivation, as well as the background image); it is important for us to explicitly point out that you are fundamentally free to decide what information you disclose about yourself in your video and we advise conscious and self-responsible action.<\/li>\n
  • Communication data (e.g., applicant’s email address or mobile number)<\/li>\n
  • A reference to the applicant’s online presence on XING or LinkedIn, if these are used by the applicant for identification.<\/li>\n
  • Information about the applicant’s professional career found on XING or LinkedIn, if the applicant’s online presences there are used by them for identification.<\/li>\n
  • Other information submitted by the applicant after their 15-second application or directly requested from the applicant (e.g., certificates, diplomas, etc.)<\/li>\n
  • If applicable, data on the assessment and evaluation of an applicant in the application process (no automated decision-making including profiling).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The following personal data will be processed as part of your travel expense report:<\/p>\n

      4. Purpose of Personal Data<\/h5><\/div>

      When you use the “UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO HERE” function on our website, personal data is collected via a software platform operated by a carefully selected external service provider, committed to complying with relevant data protection regulations, who also supports HOLZ in personnel selection. Data collected via the “UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO HERE” function is stored at 1&1 IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur). This service provider has also been carefully selected and is legally bound by data protection regulations. The personal data collected in connection with an application is generally used only for processing submitted applications and filling advertised positions, as well as for processing your travel expense report. Any further use of this data would only occur if and to the extent necessary to fulfill a legal obligation and\/or to safeguard legal claims. Applicant presences on social networks (XING and LinkedIn) are used for personal identification at the applicant’s request. The information found there regarding the applicant’s professional career may also be used to supplement the content of their application video. No further content-related evaluation of these applicant presences takes place. After the application process is fully completed, processing will initially be restricted; if retention periods and obligations no longer apply, the data will be deleted.<\/p>\n<\/div>

      5. Legal Basis for the Use of Your Data<\/h5><\/div>

      a. If you have given us your consent for the processing of your personal data, this constitutes the legal basis for processing (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).<\/p>\n

      b. For the processing of personal data for the purpose of initiating or fulfilling a contract with you, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR is the legal basis. <\/p>\n

      c. Insofar as the processing of your personal data is necessary to fulfill our legal obligations (e.g., for data retention), we are authorized to do so in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. <\/p>\n

      d. Furthermore, we process personal data for the purposes of pursuing our legitimate interests and the legitimate interests of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Maintaining the functionality of our IT systems, the (direct) marketing of our own and third-party products and services, and the legally required documentation of business contacts are such legitimate interests. In the context of the necessary balancing of interests, we particularly consider the type of personal data, the purpose of processing, the processing circumstances, and your interest in the confidentiality of your personal data. <\/p>\n<\/div>

      HOLZ operates globally. Some of your data may also be processed in countries outside the European Union (“EU”) or the European Economic Area (“EEA”). In these cases, we ensure an adequate level of data protection for your data, for example, through contractual agreements with our business partners or service providers, or we ask for your explicit consent. <\/p>\n

      a. When using service providers and tracking, personal data may be transferred to recipients in countries outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway (= European Economic Area) and processed there, particularly in the USA and India.<\/p>\n

In the following countries, an adequate level of protection for the processing of personal data exists from the EU’s perspective (so-called adequacy decision): Andorra, Argentina, Canada (limited), Faroe Islands, Guernsey, Israel, Isle of Man, Japan, Jersey, New Zealand, Switzerland, Uruguay. With recipients in other countries, we agree on the application of EU standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, or the EU-US or Swiss-US Privacy Shield to ensure an “adequate level of protection” in accordance with legal requirements.       8. Use of Cookies and Google Analytics<\/h5><\/div>

      9. Data Retention<\/h5><\/div>

      We delete your personal data as soon as the purpose for which we collected and processed the data ceases to apply. Storage beyond this point only takes place if required by laws, regulations, or other legal provisions to which we are subject, in the EU or under legal provisions in third countries, provided an adequate level of data protection is given there. If deletion is not possible in individual cases, the corresponding personal data will be marked with the aim of restricting its future processing. <\/p>\n

        11. Data Subject Rights and Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority<\/h5><\/div>

        As a data subject, you have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).<\/p>\n

        If you have consented to our processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
